Irans Foreign Minister briefs on ISTTs International Activities

ISTT President joined a number of Iranian STP managers to meet with Foreign Minister, Dr. Javad Zarif. The meeting aimed at expanding cooperation between MOFA and Iranian STPs to facilitate the business activities of their companies.

Dr. Zarif, the Foreign Minister said in this meeting that STPs can prepare the ground for Iranian elites to enter the practical and production field. This is the method used in foreign universities to strengthen their economic capabilities.

Dr. Zarif added that scientific and industrial development of the country is one of the advantages of science and technology parks and they can nurture effective workforce in the country and reduce the immigration rate of elites.

He further referred to the importance of export of k-based products and removing sanctions that could make Iran the science and technology pole in the region.

ISTT President, Dr. Ghaisari also elaborated briefly on the international relations and activities of ISTT including its membership in major science parks associations such as IASP, ASPA and WTA. He further explained about ISTT relations with UNESCO, IDB, and the foreign STPs and MOUs with other STPs in China, Malaysia, Korea, France, Spain and others.

He also named achieving the cash prize of Islamic Development Bank, selection of ISTT companies by ASPA from 2006 to 2019, presidency of IASP WA Division for 3 times and hosting the most important science park event of the world, IASP World conference among some of the achievements of ISTT in the international areas.
