Vice-President for Science and Technology: ISTT has significantly expanded

Andisheh II Building, covering 3500 m², was officially opened on June 22 with the attendance of Dr. Sorena Sattari, Vice-President for Science and Technology. This new building that accommodates 30 Technology companies, received also the financial support from the Vice-Presidency for science and Technology.

"The seven times higher export growth rate of ISTT companies compared to last year and their 2.5 times higher turnover are indicative of significant development of technology companies in the country which is admirable", Dr. Sattari said.

Marking the inauguration of Andisheh II Building Dr. Sattari declared the sales value of knowledge-based companies services and products amounts to more than 1 billion dollar. He also added that Knowledge-based economy has contributed to the rapid pace of advancement in GDP, growing 50 to 60 percent a year. Inaugurating IUT incubator, unveiling some new products developed by ISTT companies and visiting the exhibition displaying the latest products, technologies and achievements of ISTT companies were among other programs of Dr. Sattari in Isfahan.

ISTT President, Dr. Ghaisari also presented a report of the 8-year performance of ISTT and the significant growth and development in the last year.

Dr. Sattari further expressed satisfaction over his biannual field visits to ISTT and added ISTT has significantly expanded. He appreciated the excellent progress in production and service sectors and hoped for the best.

Eventually, he took part in a field visit to some of the knowledge-based companies.
