Denmark Ambassador to Iran visits ISTT

Denmark Ambassador to Iran paid a visit to Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) on the July 17^th. Dr. Jesper Vahr who has had a tenure of office as the Ambassador to Iran since 2020, met with the officials at ISTT to discuss ways of expanding ties between science parks in both countries.

Dr. Vahr further elaborated on some of the initiatives by the embassy to foster knowledge transfer among Danish and Iranian scholars and entrepreneurs.

In the meeting the ISTT officials represented ISTT, its companies and management strategies and success rate of start-ups.

Danish ambassador referred to the high success rate of ISTT Start-ups in comparison to the innovation centers he had visited before in different countries and expressed eagerness to help forge ties to share experience between ISTT and DTU Science Park.

Speaking in the meeting, ISTT’s President pointed to the soft-landing opportunities in both countries. He made a proposal for an online meeting with Danish science parks officials to further discuss potential ways of cooperation with ISTT and its UNESCO Category II center (IRIS) i.e. Isfahan Regional Center for incubators and Science Park Development, as well.

The ambassador was also taken on a tour to the ISTT Campus and to visit one of the companies working in the field of medical equipment. a
