Four Iranian Innovators Advance to Semifinals of BRICS Future Tech Competition in China.

Three knowledge-based companies from Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) and one winner of the Sheikh Bahai National Tech Entrepreneurship Festival have advanced to the semifinals of the 3rd BRICS Future Technology Innovation Competition in China.

Organized in Xiamen, China, the BRICS Future Tech Competition aims to foster international collaboration in science, technology, and innovation, while promoting the development of next-generation industrial technologies. This year’s call for participation was issued in April 2025, and the final winners will be announced in October.

The competition focuses on three key areas:

 Future Information Technology, Future Materials, and Future Health. It provides a global platform for presenting and evaluating market-ready innovations. As a member of the BRICS China Innovation Park’s International Advisory Committee Network, ISTT has actively supported eligible companies through its partnerships with the Beijing International Exchange Association and BRICS Innovation Network.

Following a rigorous selection process led by ISTT’s Office of Scientific and International Cooperation, four Iranian companies were among the 183 semifinalists selected from hundreds of global participants:

  • Sam Tech Ceram Tose’e Negar
  • Paydar Kesht Housh Khavarmiane
  • Dorsa
  • Aras Mixed Reality (a winner of the Sheikh Bahai Festival)

In the next stage, 20 finalists will be invited to Xiamen for in-person presentations, and 8 winners will be announced after final evaluations. Semifinal judging was conducted by a panel of experts from China, Iran, and Russia, including Mozhgan Yazdianpour, Director of ISTT’s Scientific and International Cooperation Group, representing Iran.

Evaluation criteria included team composition, level of innovation and technological achievements, market readiness and validation, financial planning, and strategic presence in China.

Top prizes include:

  • 🥇 First Prize in Science & Technology: ¥1,000,000 (approx. $140,000)
  • 🥈 Second Prize for Leading Entrepreneurs: ¥600,000 each (approx. $84,000)
  • 🥉 Third Prize for Innovation Potential: ¥300,000 each (approx. $42,000)

Winning projects will also receive support for implementation at the China-BRICS Innovation Incubation Park in Xiamen, contributing to a dynamic global innovation ecosystem.

With nearly 800 knowledge-based and tech companies, ISTT continues to champion innovation and shape a better technological future.
