  • Feb. 17, 2026

The fifth edition of the Capacity-Building Program for Key Managers of Science and Technology Parks was held on Sunday and Monday, 15–16 February 2026, at Pardis Technology Park in Tehran. Organized by the Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) and supported by the Vice Presidency for Technology and Innovation of the Ministry of Science and the UNESCO Regional Centre in Iran (IRIS), the program aimed to enhance managerial competencies, strengthen governance capabilities, and develop strategic leadership capacity within Iran’s national innovation ecosystem.

The program addressed a broad range of key managerial and policy-oriented topics related to the effective governance of science and technology parks, including technology governance, innovation ecosystem management, physical development and land management, performance evaluation systems, internationalization, public relations and organizational branding, national and international networking, and industry collaboration. These discussions were designed to strengthen strategic thinking and reinforce the role of science and technology parks in addressing major national challenges.

This program marked the fifth and final phase of the domestic capacity-building series. Following a comprehensive evaluation of participants across the five training programs, advanced international training courses will be conducted. In addition, international technology tours are planned to expand global engagement, facilitate knowledge exchange, and further enrich the professional development pathway of future leaders in Iran’s innovation ecosystem.

It is worth noting that, given the growing number of science and technology parks across the country and the increasing diversity of their missions, organizing such capacity-building programs is considered a strategic step toward enhancing management quality and strengthening coordination among the parks. The ultimate goal of these initiatives is to establish a professional framework for the selection, development, and promotion of managers within the national technology and innovation ecosystem.
