Our International Network

ISTT as a leading Science Park in the Technology Eco-system of Iran enjoys strong connections with following international associations. 

 

 

IRIS (Under the Auspices of UNESCO)

Isfahan Regional Center for Technology Incubators and Science Park Development was established in Isfahan in May 2010 according to an agreement between Islamic Republic of Iran and UNESCO. Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) is the host for this regional center. IRIS has been mandated to address and resolve the problems currently limiting the success of Science Parks and Technology Incubators in developing countries. The initial focus of the center, as Category II center of UNESCO, is on facilitating the integration of developmental approach into science, technology and innovation, developing technology transfer, organizing capacity building, providing policy advice, facilitating the exchange of experience and best practices, and conducting research and problem solving in Science Parks and Technology Incubators development.

The agreement between UNESCO and IRIS has been renewed for 2 consecutive periods dating from 2015 to 2022 and from 2022 to 2025.

IASP

International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) is the leading association of innovation ecosystems worldwide with 77 members. Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) is the first Iranian member of this globally-known association.

ISTT has enjoyed working with IASP team in different areas including:

Presidency of IASP WANA Division for several years

Membership of ISTT representatives in IASP International Board Members

Hosting and organizing IASP WANA conferences in 2006 and 2011

Hosting and organizing the 35th World conference in 2018

ASPA

Asian Science Park Association (ASPA) is an international nongovernmental organization established in Japan in 1997 for the purpose of accomplishing the joint development in the fields of scientific technology, industry and economy in the Asian region.

Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) participated in the following activities with ASPA

Being a member of Board of Directors

Hosting two conferences in 2006 and 2011.

Participating in ASPA competitions and winning the Science Park Association Award (ASPA) in the span of 11 consecutive years from 2009 to 2019
